Desiree Bettis
Our dear Desiree Bettis passed from this life into the presence of Christ on April 19, 2018 at the age of 88. Desiree was born on April 27, 1929.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Earl Bettis, four children, Jim Cook, Beth (Jerry) May, Michelle (Rick) Ankoviak, Michael Bettis, 14 grandchildren, Jeffrey (Trina) Cook, Casie Cook Andrews, Jacob (Roberta) May, Ashley Schaff, Jeremy (Ashley) Bettis, Joel (Emily) May, Anthony Ankoviak, Jennifer (Michael) Schonhardt, Elise (Josh) Krueger, Michael (Jessica) Bettis, Bryce (IlaAnn) Ankoviak, Ethan Steube, Raiden Ankoviak, and KiYoshi Ankoviak, and 23 great-grandchildren.
Desiree was always put together, carrying herself with great dignity. Underneath that lovely exterior also laid a heart of gold. Desiree was hard-working, loving and accepting. She rooted for the underdog and showed both her love and sense of humor to those who needed a mom’s encouragement. She would often play the role of the straight-man for her husband and his big personality. They were usually together and always a compliment to one another, devoted to each other, to their large family, and to God. Desiree’s beauty, inside and out, will be missed but never forgotten.
Visitation will be held for Desiree Bettis on Saturday, April 28th, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Main Street Church, 116 N Main St, St Charles, MO 63301, with a celebration of life to follow at 11 a.m.

Desi took me under her wing when I was just 18 years old – she taught me so much about being a woman, a wife and a mother. She was a shoulder to cry on, she listened without judgment and always had a word of wisdom.
I came into her family a broken young woman and she and Jack taught me what true family and love are all about.
Desi, I love you and am so thankful for all that you taught me.
