Dolly Elizabeth Palecek

Dolly Elizabeth Palecek (nee Decker) age 90, died in St. Charles, MO. September 28, 2021.
Beloved wife of the late Paul N. Palecek, dear mother of Paul, Mark (Tammy), James
(Robin), Carol (Larry) Tipton, Donna (Tom) Dixon, Kim (Tony) Ghrist. She is survived by
her six children and son in law, Rick Babb, seventy- two grandchildren, great
grandchildren, great- great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death
by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Decker, husband Paul, sister Ruth, two brothers Forrest and
Lawrence, two children Diane (Butch) Valleroy, Karen Babb and best friend and sister-in-
law, Arlene O’Keefe.

She was born to Edna (nee Fowler) and August Decker in St. Louis, MO on Feb 10, 1931.
She was the youngest of four siblings. In 1950, she married Paul N. Palecek in the catholic
church and had eight children. She worked at Glasgow Pharmacy for many years and
retired from Boatman’s Bank. Dolly loved to read, shop, play bingo, play slot machines at
the casino, watch her Cardinals and Blues hockey games, decorate her home, dress up and
eat out. Most of all Dolly loved being with her family and friends, especially Daveen
Dappen. She loved life and didn’t let any grass grow under her feet.

Celebration of Life will be held at The Quail Ridge Lodge Sunday 10/17/21 from 2-6 with memorial at 4:00pm.

Memorial donations in Dolly’s name may be made to the charity of donor’s choice.

    It was so evident that Dolly loved her family. I remember her always smiling and always welcoming. She was blessed with a long life and with so much love around her. Dolly, you were a beautiful lady inside and out. May you Rest In Peace .
