Don’s Obituary

Don Gene Horstmann of Wentzville, Missouri, age 61 years, passed away Monday May 19th, 2025.

In life Donny had a great love for collecting various antiques, memorabilia and most importantly toy tractors that he had hoped to share with his grandchildren. In past times, he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson that he named Baby Blue, going on joy rides in his 1989 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible and traveling around the country, making sure to take as many photos as possible along the way.

Don joins his parents Hebert Gene Horstmann and Hilda Edna Horstmann (nee Hahne), in Heaven.  He is survived by his sons Kyle Mathew Horstmann, wife Abby, and Colin Russell Horstmann.  His grandson Jackson Gene Horstmann and siblings, Jim Horstmann (Susan), Sue Rosa (Jerry), Sheryl Schaeg (Keith), Greg Horstmann (Karen) and Stacy Heckmann (John).

There will be no funeral arrangements to be held. Instead, the family wishes to honor Donny in a celebration of life at his son’s farm in Bourbon, Missouri on June 21st, 2025 at 2:00pm in the afternoon.

Join in remembering Don by reminiscing on the good times and spending time with those whom he brought love and joy.

    To Don’s entire loving family, ❤️Donny was not only my cousin but a wonderful good friend. We spent many enjoyable times together and his presence enhanced my life more that I could ever convey. He will be sorley missed but the memories will always be cherished. Knowing he is at Pease with Jesus is the consoling thought that will bring me peace while we are apart for now. Love and peace my cousin and great friend Don. 🙏
