Donald Frederick Zinzer
Donald Frederick Zinzer of Crestwood, Missouri entered into rest on May 31, 2022. Donald was born in St. Louis, Missouri September 15, 1941. He is preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Rosamonde Zinzer (nee Ellis) and brother-in-law, James V. Parker. Donald is survived by his sister Rosamonde Parker (Todd Keller), nephew Christian Parker (Linda), niece Leslie Weidner (Dave) and three great nephews, a great niece and cousins.
After graduation from Drake University and service in the Army Reserves, Donald had a varied business career that included owning a seat on the Chicago Board of Options, rehabbing and selling houses and eventually turning his hobby of making O-scale buildings for model railroading enthusiasts into his own company, Elfin Models, Inc.
Donald was a lifelong dog owner and derived great pleasure in caring for his dogs.
Services will be private. Memorials may be made to Stray Rescue of St. Louis or the St. Louis Senior Dog Project.
Dear Bitsey, so sad to lose your wonderful, loving brother. He was always a favorite cousin and I will always miss his over the top humor. Sending the warmest hugs and you all will be in my prayers. Love Diane and Denny

Bits – I just saw Donald’s Obit! Sorry to hear about his death. I guess you are aware that King and Marc both passed away in 2020. You and I and King and Don certainly had a lot of fun growing up.
