Donald Kemper

Donald Robert Kemper “Bob” 83, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning 6/06/2020, shortly after a fall. Beloved father and grandfather.His five children are Holly Eckstein (Glennon Eckstein), Becky Helker (Bob Helker), Terry, Matt, and Doug Kemper (Mischelle Gill). Grandchildren Jeremy and Nathan Eckstein, Michael, Chris and Lisa (Rogers) Helker, Tai and Tara Kemper, Joriann and Kari Harrison-Kemper, Sophie and Cole Gill Kemper.

Bob graduated from St. Mary’s High School and joined the US Army. He then worked for Union Electric company for 39 years, primarily at the Meramec Plant, as a pipefitter and plant operating engineer local #148.

He volunteered for Feed My People food pantry. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed reading, animals and the outdoors. He enjoyed the challenge of completing his daily NYT crossword puzzle, vigorous walks in the park, lunch at Ms. Sheri’s Cafeteria and the great people he met there, and golf with his buddies. He had a generous soul and gave to many causes he was passionate about. Forever in our hearts!

    I loved my father, he was a wonderful man that loved his family very much. Smart as a whip,funny,complicated,caring. Gone too soon.
