Donald S. Hessler

Donald S. Hessler (Don), age 65, passed away suddenly at his home on Friday, December 11th, 2020. He was born on September 25, 1955 in St. Louis, Missouri.

Don grew up in Spanish Lake, MO as the youngest of five children and the only boy. He was a graduate of North County Technical School, and had a life long career in sales. He was very outgoing and the real “character” of the family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Cyril and Arleen Hessler. He is survived by his sisters, Diane Drury, Kathy Olander, Christine Craig, and Sharon Parsons, as well as being an uncle, great uncle, brother-in-law, cousin, and friend to many.

As did his parents, Don donated his body to the Washington University St. Louis School of Medicine. His remains will be laid to rest through that program at the Tyson Wolf Sanctuary Research Center.

Due to these unprecedented times, no service will be held. The family encourages donations be made to your favorite charity or just someone in need.

Tyson Wolf sanctuary. That is cool. I have found memories growing up as kids in Spanish Lake.

So sorry to hear about Donny’s passing. Loved his smile and fun sense of humor. I will always remember his kindness when he sent our family a sweet note when our Mom passed away in 2008. Rest In Peace, Don. Thanks for always making us smile.
