Donna Marie Austin (7/31/1947- 04/21/2026)

Donna Marie Austin (nee Bolen), 78, of Defiance, MO. Beloved mother of Bradly Austin, and Becky  (Christopher) Lee, died peacefully at Evelyn’s House, Saint Louis, on April 21st, 2026, leaving a felt emptiness in the lives of those who knew her. 

Donna was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on July 31st 1947, at St. Louis Maternity Hospital, to Feutrell “Nelson” and June Marie (nee Miller) Bolen. Donna grew up in North St. Louis City with her younger brother Teron. During her teens, her sister Julia was born. In the mid-60’s, Donna and her family moved to St. Peters, where she attended Francis Howell High School. There, she met her high school sweetheart, Terrance (Terry) Austin, whom she would marry on August 8th, 1969. Donna and Terry had two children, Bradly Austin and Becky (Chris) Lee, whom they raised in St. Charles until moving to Defiance in 1986, where she lived until passing. 

Donna was a devoted wife, mother, and business partner to her family. Donna had a passion for treasures of various sorts, including but not limited to rocks, Indian artifacts, antique glassware, and jewelry making. Donna also enjoyed nature, animals (especially her dogs), and the outdoors. She was quite fond of fishing on the Missouri River with her family. If you knew Donna at all, you knew she had an arsenal of jokes in various colors and flavors, which she was always happy to share, even when she wasn’t feeling her best.  

Donna is preceded in death by: Terrance (Terry) Austin/Husband, Feutrell (Nelson) Bolen/Father, June Marie (nee Miller) Bolen/Mother, and Teron Bolen/Brother. Donna is survived by: Bradly Austin/Son, Becky Lee/Daughter, Julia Alexander/Sister, Kaylie Huster/Granddaughter, and other nieces and nephews. 

Graveside service will be for the immediate family- time TBD
