Donn Richard Eckard
Donn Richard Eckard 57, passed away on January 27, 2020 with his loving wife of 22 years, Michelle (née McMurtry)and his family by his side. Donn was born in San Diego, California on February 10, 1962, and moved to Ballwin, Missouri with his family in 1966. He attended Lafayette High School in Ellisville. He married the love of his life, Michelle, August 16, 1997 after being together since November 8, 1991. Donn was a kind, thoughtful, funny, bighearted guy who made friends easily, and was always there for friends and family who called on him. He was a skilled carpenter and the owner of Affordable Remodeling in Sullivan, Missouri. He loved to create and enjoyed his craft and his customers. Although his health was failing, he never stopped working. Donn had a love for animals of all kinds and especially for his beloved husky, Ozzy and his cat T.C. His love for music was shared by his wife Michelle, and one of their favorite things to do was attend concerts of their favorite bands. He is preceded in death by his father John Eckard Sr. and his grandfather Henry Ruegg. He is survived by his wife Michelle, his mother Mary Eckard, siblings Barbara Eckard (Bob), Sandy Dye, Rhonda Cardwell (Bob), John Eckard (Don), mother-in-law Judy McMurtry, father-in-law John McMurtry, sister-in-law Laura Robinson (Jeff), brother-in-law Johnny McMurtry and many cousins, nieces and nephews. A celebration of Donn’s life will be held at a later date.

So sorry for your loss. Donn was a great guy I loved him like a brother. Even though I haven’t seen him a lot I still felt close to him. He will be missed, God has another truly wonderful soul to help. Our prayers are with you and your family.
So sorry for your loss. Haven’t seen in person for many years. Only saw him and Michelle in last few years with pics of their animals and morrel mushroom hunting photes. He was always a nice guy. RIP Don
Don and Michelle went to my brothers funeral 17 years ago they were the same age I didn’t tell him that Danny died some how he knew and they showed up that meant the world to me it showed don and Michelle’s character and that’s a lot he will be missed by many RIP friend
