Doris M. Trotter

Doris_Trotter_1Doris Mae Trotter (nee Westergaard) passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2014.

She leaves behind 4 loving children; Michael (Dona), Julie, Timothy (Elizabeth), Beth (Brian); 10 beautiful grandchildren; David (Erin), Adam (Jessica), Katie Law (Ryan), Emily, and John Clark, Bennett and Alexa Trotter, Andrew, Molly, and Kyle Tavares; 6 Great Grandchildren, Isaac, Clare, Anthony, Dominic Trotter, and Tenley, and Jet Trotter; and a beloved niece Judy Skjie (Stan) ; her parents-the late Marius “Mike” and Sena Westergaard, her husband John Trotter, and her sister Margie Veum preceded her in death.

Doris will be remembered as a former school teacher, homemaker and excellent cook, world traveler, bridge player, member of Southminster Presbyterian Church, member of Session, Sunday School Teacher, Director of Sunday School Education, and member of GEM Fund.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, June 26 at Southminster Presbyterian Church, 10126 East Watson Rd. Crestwood, MO 63126. In lieu of flowers please send memorials to GEM Fund Southminster Church. Her remains will be laid to rest with those of her husband John at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

    To the entire Trotter Family,
    Please accept my sincere condolence in the passing of a great woman. She was a wonderful person both inside and out. She will be missed. I will keep the family in my prayers.

    My wonderful Aunt Dorie will be remembered as my aunt who would always be there for people. I felt welcomed in their home any time, no matter what. And Aunt Dorie was a wonderful friend to my mother.
    She will be dearly missed by all of us Trotters!
