Dorman David Baird

We celebrate a life well lived and a life well loved. Dorman David Baird, known as Bud, was born in Alabama on October 28, 1935 and passed away in his home in Florissant, MO on September 28th, 2018 at the age of 82. He is survived by his bride of 52 years whom he often reminded that he would always be her “feller” and she showed her absolute dedication to him.

Bud served our country in the army. He retired as a computer programmer, but his greatest accomplishment was his family. Bud loved beyond measure his three children, Sheila (Bob), Brian (Nealie), and Melissa (Andrew). His heart burst with joy and pride for his grandchildren Ewan, Adina, Ellis, Bobby (Judy), Tasha (Chris), David (Suzann), Michelle (Ron), Brianne (Ricky), Philip (Shanna), Connor, Claira, and his great grandchildren Makkaila, Rylie, Jade, Kassidy, Zane, Zoe, Josiah, Brighton, Danny, and Michael as well as several nieces and nephews and all of those that felt like family including his Trinity Church family.

He was always on the sidelines of games and plays and they all knew their Pappaw loved them.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents Josie and Henry, and his siblings Norma and infant brother Orman.

Bud selflessly donated his body to St. Louis University in hopes that it will help others in the future.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to Empower North County to support the Affordable Christmas Store held for families needing assistance this Christmas. Donations can be made online (www.empowernoco.org) or by mail Empower North County 3515 Shackelford Rd. Florissant, MO 63031.
