dorothy1Dorothy Melinda Spears “Linda” 62, St. Clair , MO Passed away at her home on April 22, 2014.

Dorothy Melinda Spears, maiden name Baker, was born July 23, 1951 to the late William Lee Baker and the late Dorothy “Fraily” Rusan in North Carolina. She graduated from Kirkwood High School in 1969. Dorothy got married to the late Dwight Spears Sr. on June 24, 1995. She also started her own business as an Accountant in 1996. Dorothy Graduated with honors from Strayer Univeristy with a Masters degree in Business Accounting in 2010 and became a Notary Public in 2010. She has joined in eternity on April 22,2014 the love of her life, husband, Dwight Spears Sr., mother, Dorothy Rusan, father William Lee Baker, sister, Julia Marie, brother, Anthony Baker, step father, Frank Rusan III and step brother, Frank Rusan IV and step son, Dwight Spears Jr. Dorothy is survived by 5 children, Ronald Baker, Stanley Harris Jr., Samuel Harris, Tiffany Harris and James Spears; 2 step children, Rosalyn Roberts and Arinta Bryd, 4 step brothers, LaMonte Rusan, Lambert Rusan, Keith Rusan, and Thomas Rusan, and 1 Step Sister Constance “Ann” McNeil. Dorothy has 16 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 19 nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was an awesome daughter, sister, mother, aunt, wife, sister-in-law, grandmother and friend of many. She was very giving and lovable always gave her all in everything that she touched. Dorothy loved to shop for clothes and shoes; Walmart was her favorite place. She has lived her life to the fullest. Dorothy Melinda Spears would love to thank everyone, family and friends, for all the love and support that has been shown over the years and through this time for her family and friends. She is only asleep, resting peacefully without pain and illness. Dorothy Melinda Spears “Linda” has gone home to rest in peace. She will be loved and missed.

A Home Going Celebration will be announced at a later time.

    My heart is so heavy right now. Although you have been family for many years now out want until the pass couple of years that became close. Although I wasn’t around Dwight that much it is funny how things are just in the genes. I can the look on your face when I would say something he use to say to you. Don’t know how our why but I knew his words. Now you don’t have call me Dwight Part Two. Cause you back with him. I missed you girl. Rest In Peace. Tell Momma and Poppa and Ross I said hello as well as Dwight. Life ain’t the same without you. James is graduating high school tonight. Seems you pictures. ;-).
