Jeffrey Bell was the son of Jules and Beatrice Pace Bell. He grew up in the
Philadelphia, PA, area, and graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University
with a B.S. in Biology. He subsequently earned his PhD from Temple
University, Department of Pharmacology, in 1989.

Dr. Bell’s career took him to St. Louis where he worked at Washington
University School of Medicine. His focus was research and development in
the field of infectious diseases, particularly in the use of molecular
microbiology and immunology in developing vaccine strategies.
His further interest in photography led him to embark on a second career
as a fine arts photographer. Over the years he also enjoyed salsa dancing,
long distance bike riding, and music.

Dr. Bell was very much a Francophile, and spent many years traveling
between St. Louis and Paris, France.

He is predeceased by his parents, his brother Kevin Bell, and his former
wife and good friend, Barbara Bell. He is survived by his sister-in-law
Carrey Bell.

Dr. Bell’s ashes will be interred in Ivy Hill Cemetery in Philadelphia
alongside his parents and brother. C’est fine…Farewell to Jeff from his
friends and family.
