Mark was many things to me. A great friend, a fellow St Simon’s father, my doctor of chiropractic. He was always the positive seeker of response and result. When I went to his office with chronic lower back pain, as I sat there in the treatment room, my healing started the second he flung the door open and said “Ah Joseph” I always left the appointment feeling better than when I arrived. My heart and soul was in a better state after seeing Mark. He always smiled. Heaven now has the benefit of an Angel in the name of Mark Maher.
Our family has been friends / patients with Mark for over 40 yrs . Dr Mark made my husband come to his home after a injury at work one day . Mark had only worked a half day that day so his office was closed . He was that friend and Dr . When you were in that office and every room was full you were his only priority . I never walked out of that office without physically/ mentally feeling relief . I never walked in that office without a huge “ hello or Dar how ya doin “ ! His smile and kindness were infectious . He will be missed by my family .
You have Patti and my deepest sympathy. Mark was a good and kind man who loved his family, friends, and his faith. I am honored to call Mark my friend. I have known Mark since high school at Vianney and over the years he was not only my friend but he helped me tremendously with my back and hip issues. When he treated by back he was always upbeat and positive and we would talk about our families, Vianney, and St. Simon’s. I will miss Mark very much, but I will always have great memories of Mark. May God grant Mark eternal rest and let His perpetual light shine upon Mark. Take care and God bless.
Pam – our thoughts and prayers are with you and the kids. So shocked at this sad news. He will definitely be greatly missed by his family and many, many friends.

Pam, did not know Mark at all. What I am reading is pretty awesome. You chose well! My heart breaks for you and your family. May Jesus carry you through this time of loss.
The best coach. Amazing role model for young men and fathers. Accomplished chiro. You’ll be missed.
Pam, I was greatly saddened to hear the news about Mark. I first met you guys down at the lake and have many fond memories of those days. Over 40 years ago now. I remember My Amy and your Ryan crawling around on our Cruiser and Laughing Bob’s houseboat. Mark saved me from having back surgery when I could barely get out of bed. He’s helped so many people I’ve referred to him over the years and they all loved him. He was always happy to see me (or at least pretended to). Always had a smile or a joke and always left me feeling better than when I arrived. I will surely miss seeing him again. God bless you and your family Pam. Love you Mark.

Hi Pam, sooo sorry to receive this email. I started going to Mark 40 years ago when we were playing racquetball. I recently saw him about 4 months ago for the first time in a couple of years and it was so nice to see him again. I’m glad I saw you both walking up to the pickle ball courts a few months ago. You both are so sweet and funny and my heart breaks for you and your family. I know what’s it’s like to lose your soulmate, so God bless you and your family on your journey without Mark. He’ll always be your angel. Donna
Dr maher was such a nice guy and good doctor. He was my chiropractor for a long time and I am so sorry to hear of his passing. He will be missed so much. He always got me out of pain when my back was in such pain. We always had talks about Vianney where my sons and grandsons were students. I’m am so touched that he has remembered the school and their students in his memory. God bless him and his family. RIP Mark.
Oh my. I am devastated. Mark was so much more than my Chiropractor. He was my friend. For more than 40 years! We shared tales of our life experiences, laughed and cried together. Mostly laughed!! Since I moved, I compare every chiropractor I’ve seen to Mark. He set the bar high. In many ways. He is and will be missed. Pam and family, you have my sincere condolences.
Dr. Maher was such a kind and caring man. He helped me when my back was hurting and got me out of pain. He will truly be missed. My condolences to his family. He spoke of you every time I saw him in always the most loving way. I am truly sorry for your loss.
Dr. Mark lived the life of a hero….selfless,compassinate,honest. He was in a sense the father I always wanted
He made me laugh and always gave me hope. I wish him well on his new life and journey….may his path to enlightenment be a speedy one. I am a better person for having known him.
I will miss my visits and conversations with Mark ! A professional caring man ! Above all ! A true friend !
My wife Bonnie and I are deeply saddened to learn the news of Mark’s passing. Mark has been my wife and my Chiropractor for many years, my wife having worked for Mark’s Father as a young teenager. We have had many good memories with Mark, he was always very enjoyable and positive to be around. Our deepest sympathy is extended to Pam and the kids, he spoke very lovingly of you all very often. Heaven’s gain is our sorrowful loss.
I was so shocked to hear from a friend that Dr. Mark had passed away. Please accept my Heartfelt Sympathy. I always considered him the “BEST CHIROPRACTOR EVER” He was always upbeat, kind, a good listener to all your problems, just an amazing person! He will really be missed by all who knew him!!! Please notify us when his memorial will be held…….He is now up in heaven, watching over us all!!!
Over 20 years going to Dr. Maher as a patient, and every single time, we would laugh and talk about Vianney, random sports stuff, family, friends, etc. One of the best most down to earth guys and always welcoming with a smile and a chuckle. Rest in Peace.
The first time I met Mark & Pam was in a racquetball club where we all spent half our lives. Mark had the best backhand in town & Pam was one of the best women players ever. Over the years through tournaments & coaching high school teams we always had great fun. Then when I went to work at the Chiropractic office he was the BEST boss to work for. Like everyone else I will miss him & wish Pam and the family my deepest sympathy.
Mark & I were classmates at Vianney but we talked much more after I became his patient. He had told me of being treated in the past for the prostate cancer and was very confident of winning again this time around. He was always so outgoing and friendly it makes me sad I didn’t really get to know him all those years ago. He is a huge loss for all that called him a friend and that would be all that knew him. Godspeed, Mark!
Mark was so welcoming, friendly and saved my back pain. Pam, your love with each other was a great example to everyone. Pam, you are surrounded with a cocoon of love. Know that your family and friends are there though it does not take the pain away we are there because you are always there for others.
I was so saddened today to hear of Dr Mark’s passing. I was a patient of his many years ago but never forgot him. He was a very kind, loving and compassionate man who always put his patients first. He will be greatly missed by all who ever met him. To his family I am so very sorry for your loss and pray the Lord will send comfort to your broken hearts.
He will never be forgotten❤️ A true legend to Tony and I. Your family are all in our prayers.
My heartfelt condolences and prayers to Dr. Mark’s Pam and the rest of his family and friends. He truly was one of the last genuinely nice guys. Always so upbeat, personable, and truly cared about what ailed you. He made it his mission to treat every patient with the utmost respect. Rest well now Dr. Mark. You’ll truly be missed.
As we read all of the emails, it is Beautiful to see all of the lives that Mark has touched!! When I was leaving one office visit, I said “Have a Good day!” Mark of course said, “Have a Great day!” We say that now in honor of Dr. Maher, and may we all make it a Great Day!!
Dr.mark was my favorite chiropractor even though I started seeing his dad first when I was playing football and I don’t know where the time went but it’s been 40+ years and I’m gonna miss meeting him out on my route showing up getting scratch offs before he headed into the office rest in peace my friend ✝️🙏
I am so sorry to hear this news. I started going to Dr. Mark when I was only about 15 years old when he was new to the practice with his dad Dr. Harold. He was a great Chiropractor and healed my back issues. A wonderful and kind man with a great sense of humor . My thoughts and prayers are with his family and close friends through this difficult time.
I met and started seeing Mark 20 years ago for my lower back problems. He was an excellent Chiropractor, a great guy, and friend. Always so upbeat and had such a positive attitude, even in the face of adversity. He would talk about his wife Pam and his family often and was so proud of them. The world was a better place because of him. He will be sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers for Mark and his family.
I started going to Dr. Mark by recommendation of my sister, Janet Finke. He kept me able to exercise and work on hands and knees in the garden. He made my life better. His career was all about loving his neighbor. And he sure seemed to love all his patients. You could not get an unkind word out of him. His optimism was amazing —-even in the face of his cancer. The world needs more people like Mark Maher. They should all live to be quite old so that life can be better for the rest of us less optimistic types. My husband lost a sister and brother to ALS in 2015. They were both strong Christians. That means our separation is temporary. That thought gives me great hope. Till we meet again, Dr. Mark! I am so sorry to hear about Dr. Mark. I was thrilled to find a chiropractor that actually helped me through the years. He was a wonderful doctor and had the best sense of humor and positive outlook. He will be sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.
As great of a doctor as Dr. Maher was, he was an even better person. He always made every day count. He never let anything get in his way of finding joy. He was an example of how to live one’s life to the fullest and now I am trying to incorporate that positivity in my own life. He truly loved and cherish his family. Dr. Maher will be missed!
I’ve known Dr. Mark for almost 30 years. I am shocked to hear of his passing. He never said anything about what he was dealing with, probably because he was so focused on helping others. My sincere condolences go out to his family and the folks at his practice. He will be truely missed. He helped so many people, me included, and I was always happy to talk boats, waterskiing, the lake and most recently motorcycles with him. It breaks my heart that this happened as he was in the process of retiring, looking forward to spending more time with family and grandkids while enjoying the lake. Rest in Peace Mark.
My family has been going to Dr Mark for years. I started to go when my Chiropractor had moved to Orlando some twenty plus years ago. He was always so kind and cheerful whenever I would come and get an adjustment. We shared stories of family and I got to know him as a friend not just my doctor. He will be missed just hard to believe he will not be coming into the office asking me how I am doing. Thanks for all you did for me and my family.
