Edna Hanlon

Edna Lucille Hanlon (née Prudhomme) passed away peacefully at home on December 15, 2019 at the age of 72 after a brief battle with endometrial cancer.

She was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on April 8, 1947 and had lived in Chesterfield, Missouri since 1978. She graduated from St. Vincent’s Academy in Shreveport in 1965 and attended college at University of Southwestern Louisiana.

Edna loved her grandkids, her cats, discussing politics, antiquing with her sister, traveling in her motor home, and Jeeping.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Edna (Wells) Prudhomme; and her sister, Evelyn Smith.

She leaves behind her husband of 50 years Bob Hanlon; son Robert Hanlon, Jr. of St. Louis, MO; daughter Susan Hanlon Hemminghaus (Dan) of St. Charles, MO; grandchildren Bode and Mena Hemminghaus; niece Evelyn Walker (Chris) of Greensboro, NC; nephew Jim Smith (Dawn) of Albuquerque, NM; great-nieces Emily Walker, Lauren Dew (David), Stacey Smith, and Heather Stout (Edwin); and great-nephews Cody Walker (April) and Matthew Smith.

A funeral mass will be held at Ascension Catholic Church in the “Little Church” in Chesterfield at 10:00 am on January 18th. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at Bob and Edna’s home.
