St. Louis Cremation

Elenore Storey McGuire

passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, June 11, 2017. Elenore was born in St. Louis on September 5, 1925 to John and Elsie (Emde) Storey.

Beloved wife of the late St. Louis Police Sergeant John P. McGuire; loving mother of former Alderman Daniel and Jill (Broughton) McGuire, and Donald McGuire; dear grandmother of Sean McGuire and fiancée Lindsay Carroll, Danny and Carrie (Wingate) McGuire, John and Heather (Deis) McGuire, and Brendan McGuire; beloved sister of John George (Jack) and Rosemarie (Cahillane) Storey, and the late Herbert and Marlene (Fargher) Storey; sister-in-law; aunt; cousin; “Mom” to many, and dear friend to many more!

Services: Private family service and entombment at Calvary Cemetery. A celebration of her life is planned from 4:00-8:00, Thursday, June 15, at the IBOG Club, 11019 Jerries Lane, 63136.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Louis Public Library Foundation, 1415 Olive Street, St. Louis, MO 63103.

    It always fills us with profound sorrow when someone loved so deeply dies. The good thing about Eleanor is that she lived her life with gusto and leaves behind memories that will warm your hearts for the rest of your days. May those memories bring you comfort during this sad time.

    Such a sweet lady. We will miss her. We saw her at the Sheldon a couple of years ago, she was all decked out in her Cardinal gear. What a cutey!

    When I think of Aunt Ele one word comes to mind….chutzpah! Confidence and courage and ready for a good time. Always loved her party attire! She will be greatly missed, my condolences to Dan, Jill, Don and family.

    What a beautiful lady! Full of fun and wit!
    So sorry for your loss but, how very fortunate all of you were to have her in your lives for all these years.
    What a life to remember the good times.
