Elwood (Elkey) Hartman passed peacefully in his sleep Sunday, September 30, 2018.

He was born April 15, 1928 in Owensville, Missouri. He married his love, Shirley, on November 26th, 1953 in Bland, Mo. They were happily married over 64 years before Shirley’s passing in May, 2018.

Elwood served in the army during the Korean War and was active in the VFW as well as volunteering at Trinity United Church of Christ to help with the various dinners and as usher during the service. He was very much a family man and was always there to help if needed by his children and grandchildren.

Elwood was greatly loved and will be sorely missed.

Elwood is survived by two children:Pam and David; five grandchildren: Stefanie, Shane, Lindsey, Christopher and Cayla and five great-grandchildren: Hunter, Lily, Tori, Carter, and Hannah.

A burial will take place at Jefferson Barracks on October 9, 2018 at 11:00.
