Eric Tiemann

Eric was born on February 9, 1984 to his parents Gregg Tiemann and his late mother Kathy (Bell) Tiemann. He died peacefully in his sleep on October 14, 2023.

Loving son of Gregg Tiemann and the late Kathy Tiemann, loving stepson of Dawn Tiemann, close and dear brother to Brian (Lisa) Tiemann (Melbourne, FL), Brad Tiemann (St. Peters, MO), Jeff Tiemann (St.Peters), and Joel Tiemann (St. Peters). Dear stepbrother to Heather Kinney Kurdziel (Tony) of East Aurora, NY and Joseph Kinney (Brandi) of Rochester, NY. Loving uncle to Cody, Samantha, Hailey, Zach, and Alexandra. Dear cousin to so many, and dear nephew to many. He is preceded in death by his mother Kathy Tiemann and grandparents Gus and Marcie Tiemann and Fred and Loraine Bell and step-grandmother Beverly Tiemann.

Eric worked primarily in the warehouse industry, driving forklifts, delivering parts, and other various tasks as long as he could wear ear buds to listen to music or his favorite podcasts. Eric loved listening to music, he typically wore a black t-shirt with one of his favorite metal bands emblems on front. He played bass in several bands over his lifetime, a metal band in California called Draconian Measures, a metal band in St. Louis called Guilty I Stand, and a rock band in St. Louis named Banks and Cathedrals.

His best friends were his four brothers and a few of his cousins, he loved them dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. He loved flying drones, riding his electric scooter, taking pictures and videos, and he had a passion for insects. Eric was a sweet, kind soul and will be so missed.

There is a Memorial event at 4:30 pm on November 12, at Shamrock’s Pub and Grill in St. Peters, MO for Family and Friends.

(Funny memory… while at your home in Florida, I dove into your swimming pool only to be hit smack in the face as I popped out from under the water with Eric’s underwear. What a perfect throw by a naked 3 year Eric!!)

You all are in our thoughts. The pain of losing a child, brother and family member is tremendous. The remembrance of his loving soul, his kindness and the things that made him the unique person that he was will forever be etched in your hearts.

Eric was such a sweet soul. My heart is crushed for all of you. I know it’s hard to hear because he was so young, but I truly believe he is in a better place than the rest of us. I like to picture him with his arms tightly around Kathy, as they enjoy eternal happiness together.

Two things stand out in Eric’s obituary for me. First, his birthday was the day after mine. The second and most wonderful thing, and yes I know the question is , what is wonderful about it? That would be that he died peacefully in his sleep. That is what we all want with our own death. My God, I cannot imagine what you and the family are going through Greg. I hope I never know what it is like. Please don’t think I am being unloving about what has happened. I am typing this with tears flowing. He died peacefully in his sleep. All my love to you and your family.
