Death is nothing at all.
I have only slipped away to the next room.
I am I and you are you.
Whatever we were to each other,
That, we still are.
Call me by my old familiar name.
Speak to me in the easy way
which you always used.
Put no difference into your tone.
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed
at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me. Pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word
that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effect.
Without the trace of a shadow on it.
Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same that it ever was.
There is absolute unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind
because I am out of sight?
I am but waiting for you.
For an interval.
Somewhere. Very near.
Just around the corner.
All is well.
Nothing is past; nothing is lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before only better, infinitely happier and forever we will all be one together with Christ.
Good bye Oma, We will sorely miss your kind soul. Opa is waiting for you and we hope your finally at rest.
Dear Ursula,
I’m so sorry for you but the thought of your parents together again can hopefully lessen your grief. Absolutely beautiful poem, music and slideshow to honor your mother. You and your parents are especially in my prayers.
We love you mom and will miss you until we are all together again..
So sorry to hear of Mrs. Waterwiese’s passing. I remember her fondly and will keep the memories of her and Wolfgang close.
Erika, I will miss you deeply. It was a pleasure knowing you and having you at activities. I’m so proud of how you interacted as best you could, especially with the ball toss at exercise. May you rest in peace. I believe I can speak on behalf of all of NHC Town and Country when I say it was great having you, we love you, and we will miss you. My deepest condolences to Erika’s family. I hope you stay a part of the NHC Town and Country community.
Rest in Peace, Oma. You were such a kind and steadfast grandmother and great-grandmother. You made everyone feel at home. You taught us a lot–to love animals, to do well in school, to eat healthy (bananas), but also enjoy life (Haagen-Dazs). You were a bridge to a different time and place, and we loved hearing your memories. I will remember roasting marshmallows in the fireplace, sleeping over on the “crouton”, watching the “kitchen witch”, and eating cheesecake together. Lucy loved visiting you and seeing all of your dolls and pictures. We will keep you in our prayers–“naturally!”
What a beautiful video tribute! Loved seeing the photos of Erika and Wolfgang when they were young! That they are together again in heaven is a beautiful thing! Our condolences to the family.
Ursula,
My condolences to you and your family. I remember your devotion to your parents. Wishing you comfort at this difficult time.
George & Ursula,
What a beautiful video tribute and poem. Your mother was such a wonderful person. We’ll miss her, but as many have noted here, she’s at peace and reunited with your dad and Jack in Heaven. Wishing you and your family peace and sending our love and prayers to you all. God bless.
Christa, my heartfelt condolences for the loss of your Oma. The slideshow is a beautiful tribute to her rich life. May your loving memories of her push away the sorrow for her passing. May she rest in Peace.
Dear Waterwieses and Haywards-
Our deepest sympathies for the passing your mom/mother-in-law/Oma. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
The video tribute is so beautiful!
Gott segne Erika!

Goodbye Oma,
I miss you so much and I hope now that you are together again with Opa. I’ll always have you with me and be reminded by your kindness and strength whenever I look at the curls on my head.
I love you.
Auf Wiedersehn, kleine Schwester und Tante Erika!
Edeltrud, Klaus and Jutta Weber from Emmendingen
We want to express deep sympathy on the loss of Erika. It is always difficult to loose your parents. The good thing is the family will have fond memories of the joyous times spent with them. We have good memories with Erika and Wolfgang over the years and now a piece of the family are gone.
Erika, you were the best mother-in-law ever and a great Oma to our children, and “Oma Superior” to Lucy and Rose. Thank you for welcoming me into your family. We will always remember you.
Auf Wiedersehen,
Georg
Sorry to hear of your loss. Our prayers are with you and your family.
I am sorry that I never got to meet you, I’ve heard nothing but great things about you and I hope to hear many more. My heart and thoughts go out to the Waterwiese’s and the Hayward’s during this difficult time.
So sorry for your loss. Thinking of all of you and keeping you in our prayers.
I truly enjoyed Erika’s friendship and patience as Wolfgang and I drank beer and played Bocce Ball in the backyard. Those are great memories. I miss them both. The video tribute was a treat. I’m so sorry for your family’s loss.
