Lageman, Evelyn Ruth (nee Blankenship)

Evelyn Ruth Lageman passed peacefully and is finally at rest, headed home on Thursday, January 22, 2026. She lived a long and meaningful life defined by deep love for her family, steadfast friendships, and a quiet strength that carried her through every high and low in her 94 years.

Evelyn was a devoted mother to Steve (Michele) Moyer, Nancy Moyer, Chris Zarbo, Patricia Arthur, Tony (Chris) Moyer, Patrick (Pam) Lageman, and David (Debbie) Lageman. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ralph Lageman, beloved children Carol Renner and Andrew Lageman, whom she held in her heart always. Family was the center of Evelyn’s world, and she took immense pride in each generation that followed her. She was a cherished grandmother to 14 grandchildren, a loving great-grandmother to 22, and a great-great-grandmother to 6. Few things brought her more joy than seeing her family grow, gathering together, and sharing stories, laughter, and traditions that will continue on through them.

Beyond her family, Evelyn was embraced by a wide and caring community of friends. She had a gift for connection—making people feel welcomed, remembered, and valued. Her kindness, resilience, and gentle wisdom left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her both personally and professionally.

Evelyn was deeply loved and will be dearly missed, but her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched. Her family and friends find comfort in knowing she is now at peace, reunited with those who went before her, and watching over all who loved her.
