Freda J. Burleson

Freda Jacquline (Jackie) Burleson, nee Shoemake, passed away at 7:18am on February 18, 2023 at the age of 83.  She was born in Maryland Heights, MO on July 17, 1939.  Jackie is predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Boyd Burleson; a son, Bryan (Burr) Burleson; granddaughters, Kim Morriss and Hope Reynolds; her mother, Gertrude Shoemake, nee Hosmer; her father, Horace Shoemake;  brothers, Cleveland, Virgil, Richard, and Jim Shoemake; and her sisters, Toni Smith and Jeanie Caron.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Boyd Burleson; daughters, Regina Isaak (Todd), Felicia Preston (Dennis),  and Dannielle Garrett (Zach); sisters, Phyllis Wimer, Jane Boesteder (Wayne), Joy Beebe (Jerry), Linda Anderson, and Carol Shoemake; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Jackie was a member of the Jehovah Witness Organization for over 50 years.  She served as a pioneer in their door to door work and gave many hours to teaching her faith.

She loved spending time with her large family of eleven siblings and was an avid pinochle player.  She was not a bad bowler and played a pretty mean washer toss game.

A Memorial Service will be held on March 18, 2023 at 2:00pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1800 St. Peters Howell Road, St. Peters, MO 63376 .

    Aunt Jackie was a loving person I lived with them for some time at that time it was just Regina Boyd and Brian.I have to say it was a piece of my childhood I’ll never forget.Aunt Jackie will always have a special place in my heart.
