Gabriella “Gail” Rose Meyers
Gabriella “Gail” Rose Meyers, 81, of Saint Peters, Missouri, peacefully passed away on October 19, 2024. Born on December 16, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois, Gail was affectionately known as “The Dragon Lady”, a testament to her formidable spirit and effectiveness in managing life’s challenges.
Gail’s life was rich with personal relationships. She is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Frank Meyers, and their children: Jacki (Joe) Fine, Sandi (Brian) Newby, Micki (Rob) Maes and Mark Meyers. Her grandchildren Ryan, Megan, Devon, Sierra, Alex, Mila and Kira will miss her dearly, as well as her four-legged grandchildren Hurley, Tonto and Edgar. Gail was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Rose Gajewski, her brother, Andrew Gajewski, her grandparents, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
In her role as an Army wife, Gail supported her husband’s military career, adapting to the demands and sacrifices required by their shared life in service to their country.
Services to honor Gail’s life are being provided by St. Louis Cremation. A visitation and funeral mass will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in St Charles, Missouri. Visitation will be held in the vestibule from 9:30am to 10:15am on October 31, 2024, with a funeral mass to follow at 10:15am. Internment will immediately follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society.
Gail was such a spitfire is a small package. I loved working with her. My heartfelt prayers for all who loved her.
