Gary Matthew Key, 60, died August 6, 2024. He resided in Imperial with son, Tucker Key and ex-wife, Lynne Schenewerk(mother of Tucker). He worked as an auto mechanic for several years. Born October 21, 1963 in Centerville, Illinois, his family moved to St. Louis where Gary attended Lindbergh schools. He was preceded in death by his father, William Alfred Key, and step-mother, Joan Bogad Key; his mother, Jeanette Elaine Key Decker Hinchcliffe and step-father, Robert Roy Hinchcliffe, step-sister Sandra Shouley, and brother-in-law Vince Oberlohr.

He is survived by son, Tucker William Key, brother, Kerry Key (Sandy) and sister Sheryl Moyers. As well as step-brothers and step-sisters ; Debbie Oberlohr, Mike Bogad (Carrie), Linda Hinkle (Bob), Cindy Young (Shawn). He was uncle, great-uncle, great-great uncle and great friend.

A Celebration of Life was held Sunday, October 20, 2024 with family and friends.
