Gaynelle Kay KLUCZNY (GAYE)
KLUCZNY, Gaynelle Kay, “Gaye” (Thomas), age 81, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2024. She grew up in Albuquerque, NM with her twin sister Raye surrounded by close friends and family.
Gaye brought so much light, love, and joy into the lives of everyone who knew her. She was a natural athlete who beat all the boys in elementary school and loved to ski, bowl, and golf, winning many awards and trophies. Gaye was a true friend who made lifelong friends wherever she lived, especially now with her beloved Rat Pack. She touched so many lives through her generous spirit, and we know her love will continue to shine through all of us.
She was preceded in death by her parents Eugene and Nadine Thomas, and older brothers, Eugene and Jack. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Raymond “Mick”; sister Diane “Raye” Harrison; son Tyler Kluczny and wife Erin Moriarty; daughter Kacey Whitworth and husband Martin; granddaughters Hannah Kluczny and Gabrielle Whitworth and grandson Evan Whitworth, as well as nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life is planned. The family would like to express our thanks to SSM Hospice and Garden View Care Center for their wonderful help and care.
**If desired, friends may make contributions to the Knight ADRC Memory and Aging Project at Washington University, where Gaye participated in Alzheimer’s research, including the donation of her brain to further their scientific studies.**
It is impossible to forgot someone who gave so much of herself. I will treasure all my memories of our times together in high school and beyond. I will forever miss her and our friendship.
I was very fond of Gaye & Raye. I always think of them together. I am so glad I got to spend time with her again in Tempe, Az when Dixee Partee arranged a get together of several days with a few friends. She will be sorely missed.
What comments could be made about Gaye. Never enough can be shared or made.
