Mrs Athey was our daughter ‘s ( Sabrina Morgan) neighbor. She was so kind and generous to Sabrina and her family.
She made the best spiced pecans, had a wonderful Kumquat tree that she shared , and helped kill moccasins when they came to Sabrina’s front door. So many memories throughout the years. So sad to hear of her her passing. Condolences to her family.

Although she wasn’t really my Grandmother, Grandma Athey was such an enjoyable person to talk to. I loved sitting and talking to her about her past and everyone’s present. She was an energetic, lovely, and kind woman. Grandma Athey will be missed greatly.

Bill was my “big brother” when we were stationed together in the USAF back in the fifties. His marriage to Georgia Lee and the fun times we had during those years are pleasant memories. We re-connected later in life and enjoyed our friendship in our retired years. Bill and Georgia were two of the finest people I have ever known. The world’s lights are a bit dimmer with their passing. Godspeed!
