Gerald “Jerry” Wild

Gerald “Jerry” Wild, age 72, of St. Louis MO, passed away peacefully on 04/21/2026 from. Born on 03/27/1954 in Carlinville, Illinois. 

Jerry worked as an architect and served as the St. Louis County Architect for nearly 20 years. Outside of his profession, he was a dedicated practitioner and instructor of Tai Chi and found joy in music, often playing guitar and singing.

Jerry lived with Parkinson’s disease for 19 years, facing its progression with strength and resilience. He was a strong advocate for Parkinson’s research and education.

Gerald was preceded in death by Winifred Wild, (Mother) Prentiss Wild Sr. (Father). 

He is survived by his siblings, Prentiss Wild Jr. of Carlinville, Illinois; Scott Wild of Clearwater, Florida; and Deanna Serio of Las Vegas, Nevada; his sons, Thomas Wild of Troy, Missouri, and Justin Bailey of Bloomington, Indiana; and two grandchildren.
