Gerald L. Redel

Gerald L. “Jerry” Redel, 71, passed away at home surrounded by his loved ones on Monday, October 23, 2017. Jerry was born on April 25, 1946 to the late Annabelle T. Buss and Joseph A. Redel in St. Louis, Missouri. He grew up in St. Louis, MO and graduated from Normandy in 1965. On November 20, 1970, Jerry married the love of his life, Patricia M Mullen. They enjoyed 46 wonderful years together, living in St. Louis and then moved to Winchester in 1978. During their life together, Jerry and Pat enjoyed camping, building trains, gardening, building furniture, and traveling around the United States.

Jerry worked for 38 years at Pillsbury/ADM Milling.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by Donald and Barbara Redel .

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Patricia Redel; daughters, Christine, Julie, Jennifer Dziuba and her spouse, Eric Dziuba; grandchildren, Trent and Katriana Dziuba along with extended family and friends

Services: Mass will be held at St. Josephs Catholic Church, 567 St. Joseph Lane, Manchester, MO 63021 on Thursday, October 24, 2017 at 10:00am. Family will receive guests prior to the mass from 9:30 to 10:00. Inurnment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery will follow mass at 11:30am, with a reception at the Pasta House Co. 921 Arnold Commons Dr. immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Research Society.

    I just found this. Jerry was a really good friend growing up in Pine Lawn. I called him once a few years back. He didn’t remember me . Sorry he is gone. I lived on Manola real close to Natural Bridge

    Jerry and I were in Basic and AIT together at Ft. Leonard, Missouri! I just found him on the internet! He was a very close friend! I knew his wife when they were dating while he was in the Army! I may have pictures of us in the service! If I can find them! I live at
