Gerard “Jerry” Mossinghoff

Gerard “Jerry” Mossinghoff died unexpectedly at Mercy Heart Hospital on February 22, 2018 in Creve Coeur, MO at the age of 65.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Marlene Mossinghoff; children, Kenny Moore, Dana Krekovich, Marc Mossinghoff and Kimberly Heitert; and his sister, Mary Callahan. He is preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Theresa Mossinghoff.
Jerry was born on June 27, 1952 in St. Louis, MO to Arthur and Theresa Mossinghoff. He married Marlene Brown in 1983. Together they raised four children who remember him as loving, thoughtful, generous, and skillful. Jerry always encouraged them to live life to the fullest. He retired from the Missouri Air National Guard with the rank of Master Sergeant. He was passionate about serving in the Missouri Air National Guard, being a scoutmaster in Boy Scouts of America, and enjoyed spoiling his four grandchildren.
A funeral is scheduled for March 9, 2018 beginning at 9:00am at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery 2900 Sheridan Rd. St. Louis, MO 63125 with reception to follow at St. Peter’s UCC 1425 Stein Rd. Ferguson, MO 63135. All are welcomed to attend and celebrate Jerry’s life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Marlene Mossinghoff at 66 Dames Ct. Ferguson, MO 63135.
The family would like to thank the wonderful and loving staff at Mercy Heart Hospital for their compassion, attentiveness and unwavering dedication.

    Jerry was all about his family and will be missed by everyone . He’ll never be forgotten because of all the wonderful memories he shares with all of us . Gone too soon and sadly missed .

    Jerry I love you, you were the kindest soul I have ever met u took me under your wing showed me a lot and always gave me rides home from work n wouldn’t NEVER let me give you gas money u will be missed but never forgotten, thanks for all you did for me a t work.
