Ghlee (G.T.) Cozad, Jr.

Ghlee (G.T.) Cozad, Jr., age 80, of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026. Born on June 20, 1945, in St. Louis, Missouri, G.T. was a lifelong St. Louisan whose life was defined by family, entrepreneurship, and a deep love of sports.

Raised in Ladue, Missouri, G.T. graduated from Ladue Horton Watkins High School before attending Washington University in St. Louis. Following his studies, he pursued his passion for baseball and played professionally in the minor leagues—an experience that reflected the determination and competitive spirit he carried throughout his life.

G.T. went on to found Cozad Commercial Real Estate, building a highly respected company through hard work, integrity, and a steadfast commitment to serving his clients and community. He felt incredibly fortunate to have all three of his sons work alongside him in the business. While he took great pride in his professional accomplishments, he found his greatest joy in his family and the lifelong relationships he cultivated.

Away from work, G.T. was an avid golfer and enjoyed racquet sports, embracing both the competition and the camaraderie they provided. He was also a devoted fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, rarely missing an opportunity to support his beloved hometown team. He will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his entrepreneurial spirit, and the kindness, loyalty, and enthusiasm he brought to everyone who knew him.

G.T. was preceded in death by his parents, Ghlee T. Cozad, Sr. and Georgia Kromer.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Judith Cozad; his son, G.T. III (Laura) and grandsons, G.T. IV and Cameron; his son, Michael (Lisa) and granddaughters, Ella and Maci; and his son, Christopher (Erica) and grandson, Flynn.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in G.T. Cozad’s name to the American Cancer Society.

He was the best grandpa ever and always was so loving toward others. He always knew how to make me laugh and brighten my day. I will always remember all the magic tricks he taught me when I was little and how he always asked how I was doing. He was loved by all and will be deeply missed. I love you so much Grandpa ❤️
