Glen Anne Henderson
Glen Anne Henderson, nee Shride, died peacefully on Sunday, February 9. 2025, at approximately 3:30 in the morning at the age of 79.
Mrs. Henderson was born on November 27,1945, the beloved daughter of Kenneth “Pete” Shride and Billie Jean Shride Glenn.
She is survived by her two children, Sarah Elizabeth Henderson, Andrew Stephan Henderson and her brother Gary David Shride.
Glen Anne loved sports, especially the St. Louis Cardinals. You knew how her favorite sports teams were doing by her mood. She was a fierce bridge player and had an amazing group of bridge ladies who loved to play anytime they could-even on trains to Chicago. GA loved reading, was the family genealogist and if you needed her, she would be there for you with no questions asked. She taught fourth grade in the Troy, Missouri school system for more than 30 years and loved being retired.
In lieu of flowers, she would like you to go to a baseball game with the people you love like we loved her.
Aww, in perfect Glen Anne style, no flowers, go to a game instead ❤️
Glen Anne was a wonderful mentor to me as a teacher. She was small in stature but full of spunk! Always talking Cardinal baseball and her beloved children. She will be missed!
You were an amazing fourth grade teacher to me and I loved being your student. You will be deeply missed.
I am so glad I had the opportunity to teach in the elementary school with Glen Anne.
I am happy to know her children and I know they made their mother proud!
Our family expresses much sympathy to the family.
Blessings and Love,
Jane, Dale, Jennifer and Joshua Kelley
Glen Anne and I taught 4th grade together for many years, so I have many memories. Our children were good friends, and we spent a lot of time together for many years. She was always a strong person, and I know she fought this cancer with all her might. She was ahead of our times with her stand on equality for women. She was a unique person. May she now rest in peace. My condolences to Sarah and Andy. So very sorry for your loss.
We are so sorry to learn of the passing of your mother, I knew her when I was at Central Methodist is 1964. She was a special lady and all who, knew her will miss her,
Prayers for her family. May she RIP
