Glenda Faye Shepherd (Mia) nee Halter passed away on August 25, 2024, just before her 78 th birthday. She died peacefully in her daughter Tonia’s arms, surrounded by her grandchildren, Connor(con man), Taylor her favorite nurse, and her favorite doctor Madison Louise Richey, MD. She saw them take their first breath and they were there for her last. 

Proceeded in death by her husband the late Danny Shepherd, her parents, Wendelin and Hermina Halter and her brother David Halter, her traveling partner. 

 She was loved deeply and will be forever missed by her son Dwight Shepherd, daughter Tonia Richey (Michael Richey) grandkids , Madison Richey, Taylor Richey, Connor Richey ( Madeline), Devin Shepherd, and Kane Shepherd. She leaves behind a sister, brothers,  many nieces, and nephews. 

Glenda will be remembered for her unconditional and unwavering love she had for her kids and grandchildren. Her kindness and generosity she expressed to anyone in need will never be forgotten to those she touched. Her spirt will live on in the hearts of those who loved and knew her. 

Mia loved – her flower garden, being outdoors, visiting the beach,  traveling , and spending time with her grandkids whom she loved more than anything in this world. Watching them grow and succeed  was the greatest joy of her life. Her legacy of perseverance, will, and determination will continue to live through her grandkids that she helped mold to the wonderful people they are today.
