Glenn Dean Brandon

Glenn Dean Brandon, 90, of High Ridge, MO passed away peacefully on January 5th, 2023.

Dean was born on August 20th, 1932 in Kansas City, Missouri. After graduating from East High School in 1949, he attended Kansas State University. He joined the Bell System of companies in 1952 first in the Central Office, then as a Wire Chief, then transferring to St. Louis to Information Systems.  He worked in Kansas City, St. Louis, and New York City with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, Bell Labs, and SBC Corporation before retiring in 1991.

Dean was a very talented man and enjoyed a 50-year woodworking hobby building beautiful furnishings as well as decks, tree houses, inlay boxes, tools, and cabinets.  He also loved being outside golfing with friends, hunting, camping, fishing, and being a scout leader. In later years, he enjoyed traveling around the world with his wife, Susan.  He especially loved playing games of all kinds with family and friends.  

He adored his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and spent as much time as possible with them.  His humor and wit was one of a kind and he was great at storytelling. He was always telling “Dad” jokes, laughing, and enjoying everyone around him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dale Patrick Brandon; his Mother, Anna (Tate) Brandon; his sister, Patricia Brandon, and his brother Ronald Brandon. 

He is survived by his wife, Susan Brandon; his children; Larry Brandon, Anita Brandon, Annette Reitz (John), and Jason Church (Beth); his 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and other extended family members that held a special place in his heart.

A Memorial Remembrance will be held on January 7th, 2023 from 1 to 4 pm at their home.
