Gloria Hagans

Gloria ‘Glo’ Mae Hagans was a caring mother, grandmother, great
grandmother sister, and friend. She left this world on December 23rd, 2020
at age 68.

She was born to Lille Jackson and Luther Hagans on April 14 th 1952. After
graduating from high school, she pursued a career in the medical industry
where she retired. She retired from BJC after 18 years of service.
Gloria had 3 children, Dwight Hagans, LaSaundra Hagans and Raymeshala
Henderson. She also left behind 4 grandchildren; Breland Stewart, Raven
Letcher, Darius Hagans and Daeson Hagans. She was able to meet her only
great granddaughter Shiloh Stewart before her departure from this earth.
Gloria also left behind 1 sister; Dorothy Walker and proceed her other
siblings in death; George Sims Jr, May Lois Cook, Lavern Cook, V. Scott
Hagans and Melvin Hagans.

Gloria had a circle of close friends (more like family) including Bobbie
McHaynes who has been a close friend and confidant for over 40 years and
Shelley Davis (sister in law) who has been a close friend for over 40 years.
We would be remised not to mention all of the other close friends and family
that was a part of her life over so many years. There are too many to name
which is an indication of how much she was loved.

Gloria loved shopping, playing bingo, decorating amongst watching her
favorite shows on TV. She loved to buy things for other people and wrapping
gifts beautifully to add a little extra love. After retirement, she worked at
latch-key part time where she enjoyed working with kids and developed a
personal relationship with several kids and their parents. She loved to make
crafts for her kids at the Y and would often spend her own money to make
crafts or buy special gifts. She enjoyed spoiling her great granddaughter and
her bonus granddaughter Amani.

A funeral service will not be held in order to respect Gloria’s wishes. Well
wishes can be sent to the family.

The family would like to thank everyone who reached out to offer
condolences.

I worked with Gloria for many years at BJC. She was so loved by many. She was always there for anyone who needed a hand. My heart is broken, but I know she is now with jesus, loved ones and friends gone before her. Love you Glo forever.

OMG Glo, I prayed and prayed for ur recovery and just knew we would one day talk about your story and that your story would change your life and the lives of those you shared your story with. Well friend … God saw to that. HE sure did. Your life was definitely changed and so was the lives of so many of us that loved you. You were an angel ???? here on earth and now it’s official … you have your heavenly wings and I know you are really working with those. It’s just so hard Glo to accept that you are not physically with us anymore but it does give us much comfort knowing that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Amen. You will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace in Heaven dear friend and I miss you so. ❤️

Where do i begin i think i am still in shock. I also worked with Glo at BJC and we became great friends. The one i could ALWAYS count on. Always telling me that i do too much for others and yet she always did yhe same. With her loving heart and a great listener and friend. I wish i could have seen you more, that was my fault. You broke my heart when you left BJC and now its broken again. I know you with our lord which gives me comfort, i just hope they have a Macy’s and bingo up there, lol. I love you Glo and i will never forget you. The love you showed me will last me until we meet again.
To ALL her family im truely sorry for your loss and thank you for sharing her with so many of us. Stay strong like you know she would want you to.
    PS : Great picture!!! Lol

Ms. Glo, I have no words and that’s saying a lot to anyone who knows me. You have been a great friend and confidante for more years than I’d care to say or can even remember. I’m eternally grateful to have had your friendship. We have so many birthdays, phone calls, text messages and even a few trips between us and those fond memories will always be what I think of when I remember you. I’m thankful for your love and support and most of all, thankful that I was able to return it to you. I’m grateful for the time we shared and that I was able to experience so much of the journey with you. God Bless you dear friend. Sleep well.
