Gloria Lewis
Gloria D. Lewis was born on April 11, 1956 in St. Louis, MO to Molden and Beatrice Pickett who are both deceased. Gloria was the 5th of 12 children. She was called home on the morning of June 18, 2022.
Gloria attended St. Louis Public schools then went to Jay’s Truck Driving School where she received her diploma in 1980. She also did a full line of cosmetology.
She held many positions in the church ministry. She sang in the choir, as well as wrote and played her own music. Gloria loved to sing, dance, write poems, create arts and crafts, and read the word of God.
Gloria was a member of the System 3 and Omenta Thrust band where she sang and performed in various locations around St. Louis.
She gave her life to Christ at a young age and married her husband of over 20 years, Sam Lewis Jr., who is now deceased. She leaves to cherish her memory, her eight children, Kennieth (Lakeisha), Rhonda (Sammy,) Andrea (Adrian), Lakentae, Donald Jr., Erica (Lavell), Chris (Dawn), and Joshua. Gloria was a woman of many talents and will also be missed by her children, grandchildren, sisters and brothers, family, and many friends.
