Gregory “Chico” House Sr.

Gregory Antoine House Sr., affectionately known as “Chico Fontayne” was born on February 20, 1982, in Saint Louis, Missouri, he departed this life on August 21, 2025, at the age of 43.

Chico lived a bold and vibrant life — filled with love, creativity, and unshakable presence. Chico left a lasting impression wherever he went, known for his charismatic energy, unmistakable style, and loyalty to those he loved.

Chico was a truly special soul whose presence lit up every room and left an unforgettable mark on the hearts of all who knew him. He was a man whose life was guided by his beautiful spirit, his warm and generous heart, his constant laughter, and his endlessly positive outlook on life. He faced every challenge with grace and humor, lifted others with his words and actions, and inspired those around him to live with joy, kindness, and gratitude. Whether you knew him as family, a friend, a mentor, or simply someone who made your day a little brighter, Chico’s impact was deep and lasting. His love for life was infectious, and his memory continues to shine in all of us.

Gregory was a devoted father to seven beautiful children:

A’Nya, Nathan, A’Liya, Zoey, A’Mya, Gregory Jr., and Delilah.

He leaves behind his loving and supportive fiancée, Erica M. Proctor, who stood by his side through life’s highs and lows with unwavering love.

He is also survived by his father, Gregory Tumlin, and stepfathers Kevin Evans and Vel Randolph.

Gregory’s memory lives on through his large and loving family of siblings:

Craig, Chris, Kiché, Ian, Kevin, Kalvin, Stephon, Anton, Jerry, Antwon, Devin, Nathan, Teddy, Darnell, Trey, Chuck Lou, Shannon, Jaquisha, Taylor, Joy, Kychrandia, and Rickita.

He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Darla Jean House, and his brother, Cory House, who both welcomed him into eternal peace.
