
Gregory A. Schmied
It is with profound sadness and deep love that we announce the passing of our cherished Gregory A. Schmied. Greg, age 43, passed away on June 18, 2026, at his home in St. Louis, Missouri.

Greg is survived by his mother, Linda Tenbrink, and his father, Craig Schmied. He is a treasured brother to Jeff Tenbrink, Greta Tenbrink (Ronald), Curtis Tenbrink (Michelle), and Lindsay Tenbrink (Eric). He was preceded in death by his older brothers, Noel, Neil, and Jason Tenbrink. Known affectionately as Uncle G, he was a beloved uncle to his 22 nieces and nephews and 10 great-nieces and nephews, and a dear friend to many whom he adored as family.

Greg was a dedicated employee of The Olympia Restaurant for 18 years, before joining A.C. Murphy Construction, where he worked for the past nine years. His coworkers and employers describe him as dedicated, helpful, fun-loving, laid-back, and truly irreplaceable. Greg found great joy in camping, fishing, golfing, poker night with friends, music and spending time with family and friends. Greg was a son, brother, uncle, friend to the Meeks / Herman family who welcomed Greg into their lives and treated him as family, and he loved them all. Greg was one of kind and he will truly be missed by all who knew him. If you were lucky to have known Greg you know what a truly amazing person he was and how his Love will last in our hearts forever. His unique view will be missed, his empathy will be treasured and his never-ending love will continue to be felt by all who knew him.

A cherished soul gone way too soon. Greg was truly one of a kind and will be missed terribly by all who knew him. There will always be a place in my heart to remember you. Rest in peace Greg.
I remember taking him to his first rap concert he was like the little brother I didn’t have. In our younger days we had a lot in common did alot of the same stuff Friday night was poker night when we got together and enjoyed time with friends and family. Bro u will truly be missed š¢ šš A peaceful soul now a soul at peace.
You were a great man with a happy and caring soul. Always the one to give a helping hand to whom may needed it. A fun loving life of the party person who enjoyed a good time. I will cherish all the memories we have had and Iām honored to have known you.

I love you always brother, Nobody could have asked for a better brother, better a friend or a better man. He was a man who would do anything to help for anyone in any situation. Our journeys together are not over brother just on hold. We will meet again & finish the next journey together. Until then you keep spot up there ready for all of us because we all miss you brother.
