
Greta Mae Jackson

Greta Mae Jackson, age 93, of Saint Louis, Missouri passed away peacefully on May 12th, 2026 with her family by her side. She was born on April 29th, 1933 in Doniphan, Missouri to Bobbi & Jess Ray Bell Sr. She was raised in Doniphan, Missouri with her two brothers, Jess Bell & Dewey Wayne Bell.
Greta graduated from McKinley High School and then went on to marry Denver Dean Jackson on May 5th, 1951. They raised four children together, Doris, Sharon, Dennis & Robert. Greta was also a partner with her husband in a small business called Mack’s Express Trucking Service, then later went on to work at Prince Gardner where she was in charge of payroll before she retired.
Greta was a devoted Christian and was active in her church Cornerstone Community Church of God. She loved to sing the hymnals and she also loved to play a good game of Liverpool Rummy. Greta was a loving, kind hearted woman; she always lived her life to the fullest and loved being surrounded by her family.
Greta was preceded in death by Denver Dean Jackson, Jess Ray Bell Sr., Bobbi Bell, Jess Ray Bell Jr., & Dewey Wayne Bell, daughter-in-law and a great granddaughter. He is survived by Doris (Fred) Naes, Sharon Jackson, Dennis Jackson, Robert (Angie) Jackson. Her four grandchildren – Kim (Joe) Gagliardi, Paula (Scott) Barczewski, Joseph Jackson, Melvin Appleton, Greta also had five Great Grandchildren and eight Great Great Grandchildren.
Memorial will be held on May 31st, 2026
Cornerstone Community Church of God at 10:30 am.
