Harlin N. Westerfield

Harlin Norman Westerfield (Buck), 86, died (of chronic heart disease) at Mercy Heart Hospital in Creve Coeur, Missouri on Wednesday, September 20, 2017, surrounded by loved ones.

Harlin was born on April 29, 1931 and lived his entire life in St. Louis. He retired from Union Electric Company (Ameren) after 40+ years of dedicated service and served honorably in the US Army during the Korean War.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Arlene (Steeley) Westerfield; children and step-children, who he loved dearly, Terry (Dominic) Tamburou, Kent Westerfield, Kyle (Emiko) Westerfield, Lesli Mash, Kyle Pfleeger, and Stephanie Pfleeger; and six grandchildren who he absolutely adored.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harlin N. and Caroline S. (Groenemann) Westerfield, and sister, June.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend Harlin’s service at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery on Friday October 6, 2017 at 2:30pm.

    We were so sorry to hear about Buck’s passing. Our condolences to Terry, Kent, Kyle & Arlene. My brother Rick and I had a lot of fun over at the Westerfield house back in high school.
