Passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at the age of 88.

Helga was born in Berlin, Germany on January 1, 1924 to Daniel Oelke and Alma Strecker. She was the beloved wife of the late Joachim Medewitz: dearest mother of Jeanette (Arthur) Diamond and Margaux (Steve) Zesch: liebe Oma to Jennifer Diamond, Mia and Monica Zesch: our dear sister, aunt, neighbor, friend and teacher.
Services: Per her wishes, a private graveside service was held on Saturday, October 6 at Sunset Memorial Park. Donations may be made to The National Lymphedema Network or the American Heart Association.
