Imogene Sickendick
Imogene Sickendick died on October 26, 2018 at St. Charles, Missouri.
She was born January 26, 1933 to Henry F. and Verna (Ehlert) Langenberg at Owensville, MO. She was baptized as an infant and confirmed at Rosebud United Methodist Church in 1946. Imogene remained a church member the rest of her life as a member of the Methodist Church and of the United Church of Christ.
Imogene grew up in Owensville and graduated from Owensville High School in 1951. She was a graduate of East Central College. On October 2, 1955, she married Herbert F. Sickendick of Gerald, MO. Three sons were born to their marriage – Keith, Michael and Alan. The family lived in the Gerald, MO area until 1976 when they moved to Washington, MO. Herb preceded her in death on March 23, 1980. In 2002, she moved to St. Peters, MO.
Imogene was an administrative secretary at Allied Chemical and Dye for five years. After her sons were born she was a stay-at-home wife and mother for 15 years. She returned to work for Kellwood Company as an administrative assistant and retired from Kellwood with 25 years of service. She was an Eastern Star member and active in the Missouri DeMolay Mother’s Club, serving as the Missouri Mother’s Club President, as well as church organizations.
Her husband, Herb, her parents, four brother in-laws, (Henry, Raymond, Louis and William, Jr.) and three sisters-in-law (Shirley, Frieda, and Viola) preceded her in death. Surviving are her sons – Keith W. and wife Cynthia of Overland Park, KS, Michael H and wife Cindy of Lee’s Summit, MO and Alan D. and wife Stacey of St. Charles, MO. Also surviving are six grandchildren: Karl and wife Sarah Sickendick, Katherine Sickendick, Neil and wife Kylie Sickendick, Ryan and wife Harmony Belden, Jenifer (Belden) and husband Justin Pannullo, and Grace Sickendick. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren: Braxton, Braylon and Brynley Belden, Jensen and Peyten Pannullo, Emma Sickendick, Jane Sickendick, and a sister-in-law Earline Sickendick, other relatives and many friends.
Memorials may be given to St. Paul’s United Church of Christ Cemetery Association of Gerald, MO or to Church of the Shepherd of St. Charles, MO.
