Iren Marhaug

Iren Marhaug of Clayton, MO, passed away on October 23, 2025. Iren was born January 14, 1968, in Oslo, Norway.

She was the beloved wife of the late Robert C. Haldiman and is survived by her children Jean K., Thomas O., and Iselin M. Haldiman, father Gudmund Marhaug, mother Venke Sorlie, stepmother Toril Fjoertoft, sister Trine Marhaug, and brother Thomas Marhaug.

After high school in Tromso, Norway, Iren moved to the U.S. at 19 years old, earned a BS in mechanical engineering and MBA and MA from Washington University, and was Production Manager at Nestle Chocolate & Confections. A car and racing enthusiast, she was a member of Porsche Club of America and Track Sisters: Women on Wheels.

A service will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 2pm to 4pm at St. Louis Cremation, 2135 Chouteau Ave, St. Louis, MO.

    So sad to hear about the passing of Iren. She was a close friend of mine in younger days in Tromsø, and I remember her as someone I looked up to and admired. She was nice, kind, funny, beautiful and so smart. My deepest condolences to her daughters and family. Rest in peace, Iren, I will always remember you❤️
