Irene Deneise Stratton passed away peacefully at home on the evening of Friday, December 15th, 2017 with her loved ones at her side.

Born on March 5th, 1958 in Barnhart Missouri, Irene was the daughter of Lester Darrell Scott and Genevieve Bernadette Grace Ann Steube.

Irene had many jobs throughout her life but one of her favorites was driving trucks for AMI. After retirement, she worked part-time for her church – Oak Hill Baptist Church. Her faith as a Christian was important to her, so she enjoyed helping out whomever and whenever she could for her church family. She also truly loved butterflies, the color yellow, crafting,and making everyone smile and laugh. Most of all she loved her family and friends dearly and wanted to be with them as often as possible.

Irene is survived by her loving daughter, Jessica Dawn Greenlee (Husband – Phillip) and her son Larry Craig Stratton; her beloved grandchildren, Kate Carlisle (Husband – Chris) and Mika Greenlee; great-granddaughter Sarah Beth Carlisle; her brother Richard Scott (Wife – Pat Ciapciak); nephews; best friend and “Sister” Lana (Husband – Zal) Villarreal; and many friends. Irene was preceded in death by both parents and one daughter, Genny Renee Scott.

Services: A visitation will be held for her at the chapel of St. Louis Cremation, 2135 Chouteau Ave., St. Louis MO, 63103 on Tuesday, December 26th, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 pm. A memorial service is being held at Oak Hill Baptist Church on Friday, December 29th, 2017 at 1p.m.
