Irma L. Watson

The life of Irma Chaney Watson began on November 17, 1941, in Marianna, Arkansas. She was the third of 10 born to the unionn of Chester Arthur and Iveaner Chaney. Both parents and four brothers, Thurman, Thomas Harold, Chester, Jr., and Marvin, all proceeded her in death.

Irma professed her belief and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ at an early age and was baptized in her Baptist Faith.

Irma received her education in the St. Louis Public School system. She attended and graduated from L’Ouverture Elementary School and Vashon High School. She furthered her education by attending Pratt Community College and the University and Missouri, where she received her master’s degree. She took courses at Southwest Community College in Acupuncture. She completed her studies at Logan Chiropractor School in 2007.

Irma was united in Holy Matrimony to Jesse Lawrence Watson in November 1960. He preceded her in death in July 2004.

Irma departed this life on December 1, 2023. She leaves to cherish her love and memories: a daughter, Ginger (Noni), a son, Damon (Melissa), two grandchildren, Iris (Nate) and Jace; three great-grandchildren, Calista, Eli and Solomon; three sisters, Thelma, Zenobia and Deborah; two brothers, Mozell (Mary) and Clayton; a brother-in-law, Curtis (Christine); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; her special lifelong devoted friends, Brenda Thomas, Mildren Gray, and Richard Johnson Webster; and her god-daughter, Latonia Thomas.
