Jacqueline Kottemann
Jacqueline “Jackie” Marie Kottemann passed peacefully in her home on June 4, 2020 at age of 88. She was born on December 15, 1931 in St. Louis, Missouri.
Jackie was a beloved mother, wife, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Marie Koehrer; her loving husband Donald Kottemann; three infant children Cindy, Donald, and Danny and her faithful friend Gizmo.
She leaves behind her three daughters; Pam Bloom and husband, Ben of Springfield, Missouri; Candace Pucci of Sausalito, California; and Dyan Nelson and husband, Clay of Dallas, Texas. She was the grandmother to Brittney (Corey) Mueller, Lindsi (Steve) Thompson, and Cortni (Matthew) Stratton plus six great-grandchildren: Maddox, Sutton, Karson, Kaitlyn, Camren, and Cannon. She is also survived by her loving “kid sis” Dorothy (Dottie) Mathews and her three children Mike, Dana, and Laurie. Dottie and Dana unselfishly cared for Jackie during the last five years of her life.
Always putting her own needs second, Jackie was devoted to caring for her family. She loved family gatherings, annual journeys to Dallas to spend time with her daughters, enjoying Christmas in Springfield with Pam’s family, especially granddaughter “Britts” and her family, listening to Cardinals baseball, happy hour, Bingo scratchers, and chocolate chip cookies.
A family celebration of life will be held privately. A memorial donation may be made in her name to the American Lung Association.
Have many fun memories with Jackie. Will miss her. Rest in peace Jackie. Yes
You all are in our prayers.
Drank many glasses of wine together, if we could only go back in time.
Jackie was a beautiful woman, inside and out. Very kind, loving and caring. She will surely be missed by her beautiful family and her many friends. I’m sure she was greeted with open arms when she got to heaven!!!
So sorry to loose this Sweetheart. I have missed seeing her in October on the annual trip to Texas as she and Dottie and Laurie passed through Springfield. We had some very good lunches together and always great conversation. Always a smile and an easy laugh. God Bless you Jackie. You will be missed by so many.
