James “B.J.” William Piel, Jr.
James William (B.J.) Piel, Jr., 36, of DeSoto died October 1, 2016 at his home in rural DeSoto. He was born June 22, 1980, in Newport Beach, CA, the son of James William (Bill) Piel, Sr. (Sherrie Yarbrough) and Cheryl Lynn Stone (Mike Stone). B.J. worked as a flooring installer and enjoyed grilling, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his Grandmother, Lois Piel; his wife Tara Piel and their 4 children, Zachary Piel, Hailey Piel, Lacy Piel and Anthony Piel; 5 brothers, Adam (Sarah) Piel, Michael Stone, Johnathan (Jessica) Hibbard, Jason Hibbard and Dustin Hibbard; 4 sisters, Rachael Piel, Madelyn Stone, Amy (Robert) Sharp and Samantha (David) Lee; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service is scheduled from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6th at St. Louis Cremation located at 2135 Chouteau Ave. St. Louis, MO 63103. A “Party in the Park” in celebration of B.J.’s life is scheduled from 12 noon – 6 p.m.Sunday, Oct. 16th at the General Atkinson Shelter in Jefferson Barracks Park located at 251 Cy Road, St. Louis, MO 63125.
