
James David King
James David “Punky” King, 76, passed away on November 13, 2025, in Farmington, Missouri.
David is survived by his devoted wife, Vicki, and his sons, Johnny, Stephen (Michelle), and Christopher (Tina).He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Doris King of Festus, Missouri. He is also survived by his sister, Judie Fatland of Clovis, California, and her sons, David and Jason, along with their families, as well as his sister-in-law, Janet Charleville of North St. Louis, Missouri.
David was the proud grandfather of 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, with another expected in May.
A 1967 graduate of Festus High School, David served his country as a United States Marine. He retired from the Chrysler Corporation in Fenton, Missouri, after 42 years. He was a 46-year member of the Festus-Crystal City Elks #1721 and a past president of the Festus-Crystal City Conservation Club, giving many years of service to the organizations he loved.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in David’s honor to the United States Marine Corps Toys for Tots program.
Services will be held at a later date.

He will be greatly missed by his family.
