James grew up in Dogtown in South St. Louis
Son of George L Kehm & Betty Mae (Brazell) Kehm.

He is survived by one Sister:Kathleen (Kehm) Bohannan Brothers: George-Sue (Smith) Kehm, Timothy Kehm, Robert Eileen(O’Brien) Kehm. Nieces & Nephews: Dena (Kehm) Pedrotti, Nicholas. Stacy Kehm, Martin Lerner, Bernie Lerner.
Robert-Karyn Bohannan, Nicholas, Margaret, Nolan. Stephen-Amy Bohannan, William, Hunter. Robert Kehm, Drew-Kari (Kehm) Niermann, William, Walter & Thomas. Jerry-Aunt Joan (Brazell) Willman
Cousins & Friends

Jim graduated from St. James the Greater Grade School & then Southwest High School, Where he played and Refereed Amateur & High School Hockey. Jim signed a professional contract with the NHL in 1978 and retired after 20yrs. Jim worked with FedX as a driver & after retiring he drove for & owned a “Town Car Business” while driving  professional sports figures, TV & Movie Stars. He then signed on with the NHL as an Off Ice Official as an Instant Replay Referee at the St. Louis Blues Games for 28 years before his death. On August 20, 2022, Jim was inducted into the St. Louis Amateur Hockey Hall of Fame, Jim was very sick but fought through his illness to attend the banquet & received his Hockey Hall of Fame Ring, which he was so proud of. Jim was a Twin to Tim & Best of Friends. Jim was a very thoughtful, caring & all-round good guy & had many friends. Jim will be missed dearly.

    Just saw this — I met Jim in Wichita in the 80’s and made it to one of the epic pig roasts, followed by a weekend in St Louis with Tim and the crew. My condolences to the family. He was simply a great guy! Barry Clark
