I had the pleasure of working with Jim on occasion since 2013. He invited me over to Bld 111 where he mainly worked and gave me a tour. I was amazed at all the systems he designed and managed. I would invite him to my site for help and he always got a free lunch out of the deal. He loved that part of it! In all seriousness, Jim was wonderful to work with and one of the smartest people that I have interacted with at Boeing. Just a great guy. My prayers to the family. Rest in peace Jim.

I really liked Jim a bunch. When I first met Jim over where he worked in B111, he gave me a tour as well, and he was just a very likable guy and very pleasant to work with. He sure helped us out many times over the handful of years I had the pleasure to interface with him here at Boeing and was an inspiration to me as we shared similar types of work duties. He is missed. Prayers for the family and blessings for sure!

My most sincere condolences to your family…
Jim was well respected and it was a rare day not to notice someone calling him for advice, recommendations, and questions. He was always willing to help others and he developed many solutions to the needs of different departments at Boeing. Jim never became complacent when he finished a project and was always ready to tackle another venture. He really loved his job.
I worked with Jim since 2001 until the day he retired. He talked of his family often and was very grateful. I feel fortunate to have worked with Jim and know he will be truly missed by many…

Please accept my most sincere condolences,

I had the distinct pleasure to work with and get to know Jim quite well at Boeing. Please know I have never in my life met a more ingenious, dedicated, conscientious and genuinely caring person as Jim. He could make miracles happen with anything electronic, and he truly loved his work and family. I enjoyed Jim’s positive personality and his sense of humor, and I can still hear his unique laugh ringing in my ears, even now. He was just a truly wonderful guy, and he left the world a much better place. I feel he is smiling down on all of us!
    Rest in piece, Jim.

I will always be grateful for the help and information Jim shared with me when I took a position at Wired Technologies. I came from forty plus years in the high voltage world . He held a vast knowledge in all things electronic that only a few ever attain. I will miss his sharing and his wit which he loved to use on people. Rest In Peace My Brother, til we meet again.

I’m so sorry to hear of all of the health difficulties and of the passing of Uncle Jim! We spent so many summers over at your house as kids enjoying family reunions and my siblings and I especially remember the times in the pool when his buddy was the lifeguard making us annoying children “sit out for a song” 😀 Such a nice man and our parents are always talking about his work adventures and the brilliant mind that created that satellite dish we had in our backyard! Many prayers and hugs to you all!! He will be dearly missed!

Please accept our sympathies for your loss of a genuinely wonderful man. We got to know Jim professionally and quickly came to regard him as a true friend. We always looked forward to his visits to Charleston, his calm approach to difficult technical problems, and his good nature. A kindred soul in the world of amateur radio and electronics, we will miss him greatly. Thank you to the family for sharing him with us.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Jim. I want to express my sincere condolences to Christine and the family.

Like Jim I became an Amateur Radio Operator as a teenager and that is how I met Jim.

He was truly a visionary and so smart. I also know he loved his family so much.

He was always available if I needed help and would have me come out to his home , even though it was supper time he was always there to help if you had a problem to figure out, which he usually did.

I will donate to Ranken. My youngest son graduated from there and has a good job.

I will miss you Jim. 73’s de NI0D SK
