James (Jim) Jordan

James (Jim) Jordan of Alton, IL, passed away peacefully at the Missouri Veterans Home in St. Louis Missouri on September 28, 2021. His wife, Charlotte was with him when he passed.

He was born on January 30, 1938 in St. Louis, Missouri. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thelma and Ted Jordan and Sylvester Pettus. He is also preceded in death by his son, Chris Jordan, and grandson, Benjamin Lamberton. He loved Cardinals baseball and enjoyed playing handball with the St. Louis Hinder club. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and traveling with his wife Charlotte and their beloved cocker spaniels for many years. A veteran of the United States Navy, he was a friend to all and loved by many.

He is survived by his wife and best friend; Charlotte Jordan, brother; Gene (Kathi) Pettus, children; Pam (Larry) Palazzolo, Shannon Foster, Kevin (Donnie) Jordan, Mark Hammon, Denise (Lloyd) Lamberton, grandchildren; Erika, Kyle, Ryan, Brittany, Courtney, Mackenzie, Andrea, Morgan, and Logan, and 16 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Louis Hinder Club. Interment will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery on November 5, at 12:30.
