James “Jim” Rehfeld

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness, that the family of James (Jim) BF Rehfeld announces his passing on July 22, 2018, in Chesterfield, MO. Jim was 60 and a most kind and gentle soul. He passed into God’s arms surrounded by love. Born on March 28, 1958 in St. Louis, MO. Preceded in death by parents Franklin Clare and Mary Elizabeth (Montgomery) Rehfeld of Brentwood, MO.

Jim lived his life with an open hand that was filled with compassion. Since 2002, he successfully owned and operated a business in the St. Louis area. His goal was to provide a superior product along with a super customer experience. He added much value to the community. On the outside, he was a businessman who provided jobs to people. On the inside, he was a boss who devoted time and energy to make a positive difference to the people he employed.

Jim’s love for people was unlimited and one of his greatest pleasures was to see someone do well. He was an engineer who was very gifted in problem-solving and asking the next question that most people hadn’t considered. He loved to have fun by spending time with his grandchildren, walking his cats, riding bikes, playing pool, or exploring nature. Whatever he did, it was always in pursuit of a higher self.

Jim is survived and so lovingly remembered by his wife of 18 years, Connie; his daughter, Angela Haberstroh (Craig), and stepson, Brandon Reece; sisters Linda Ryan (Jack) and Kathleen Pearson; sister-in-law Patty Scott (Bill); along with nephews Dan Yamnitz (Karen), Ben Yamnitz, Jay Pearson, and Will Pearson; niece Dawn Milne (David); three grandchildren, Nolan, Parker and Camden; as well as aunts and cousins, great-nephews and-nieces.

A memorial service will be held for family and friends on Thursday, August 16 from 7-9 pm at the St Louis Cremation, 2135 Chouteau Ave, St. Louis, MO 63103.

We will celebrate Jim’s life as well as share memories of our time with him.

Memorial contributions may be made to Jim’s and his mother’s favorite charity:

Bryan and I are so sorry for your loss. Jim was an awesome guy. We are so blessed to have known him. He was such a good person. We loved our conversations from family, to investments, to cars and everything else he was so knowledgeable on a variety of subjects! He is going to be missed.

I went to elementary school with Jim. In fact we were in Mrs. Anderson’s 1st grade class together with Ed Schilling at Frazier. I have thought of him often through our my life. Please accept my condolences. I dont really know what else to say except I know he is well. Speak to him often for he will always be right next to you. Sending prayers of love and peace. God bless.
