James Michael Peters
James Michael Peters, 65, transitioned from this life, on Tuesday, December 31st, at SLUH hospital after a brief illness, James was born on September 27,1959 to James F. Peters and Patricia (Lovellette) Peters.
James had a love for his St Louis Blues and Missouri River Otter hockey teams, hunting and collecting various novelties. It was at a Quad City Mallards vs Missouri River Otters hockey game in Moline, Illinois one snowy Saturday evening in January where he first met his future wife Molly. Even though they were fans of opposite teams at the time a friendship developed that day and they both realized that this was meant to be.
He leaves behind to honor his life, his wife Molly (Hill) Peters, children, daughter Saige (Kenneth) Snowdell, son Justin, and daughter Kelsey, grandsons Brody and Wyatt Snowdell, sister in law Cindy (Vadrekaus) O’Neal, nephews Shahin and Aramis, nieces Sydney and Layla, lifelong childhood friend Darrell (Susan) Howard, godson Darrell Howard Jr, bonus sons Adrian and Brandon, and two canine buddies, Boosie and Webbie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, mother-in-law Kathleen, father-in-law Lucious and his best canine Lacey.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to your local blood bank.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date and time with details forthcoming.

We all love and miss you so much. I’ll forever be grateful for the night we first met at the hockey game, especially since a last minute change of plans made it possible for me to be there that night.
Thank you for loving me and our children unconditionally and never letting one day go by without reminding us of how important we are (and will continue to be) to you. You truly are the best friend that I’ll ever know in my lifetime and knowing that I’ll see you again one day brings me peace and comfort and keeps me going.
Love you always
Your wife Molly ❤️
P.S. You would always asked me if I ever knew how to be quiet. Well now you’re in heaven listening to the woman who I inherited the gift of gab from. Say hi to my mom for me!
My prayers are continuously going up for you and your family Molly. Sending lots of love and hugs your way!
Forever lifting you and your family up in prayer Molly. Sending lots of love and hugs your way!
